bedroom need to be a bit more clean
The room was very clean, equipped and comfortable.. The staff were lovely and the Indian food in restraint was absolutely amazing
Quite and clean
No lifts Location out of Stevenage
Comfortable single room Nice and quiet
Overpriced - more of a £49 hotel
Tired dated place in need of a refurb. Was clean though
the quiet and the sense of space
One corridor was obviously having damp problems and it smelt a bit- but it was not an easy problem to fix based on my experience of building management
Very pleasant staff and very polite. Clean very functional room. Pleasant stay and would use again.
Bathroom a little dated but functional for one night stay
Excellent staff. One young woman seemed to be running the whole hotel, reception, waitress, manager and trouble shooter. Did everything with courtesy and a smile! plenty of biscuits on the tea tray
Slightly tired/dull decor Long corridors to get to accommodation, sometimes with an overpowering smell of stale spicy food was quite unpleasant at times.
This is a 15th century Inn with lots of old charm etc.
The bedrooms need a face lift ie up date bathroom and bedroom furniture. The bed was comfortable.
Good location welcoming staff very clean and comfortable, quiet. Biscuits were great with plenty of tea and coffee.
No real problems
Friendly pub, very nice food in Indian restaurant, clean rooms, free parking, wifi,
Stevenage is the worst town I've ever stayed in, second to none. That is not the fault of the hotel, however. Zero atmosphere in restaurant, generally dated decor, felt a bit strange due to hotel being off on another wing (long walk to rooms) no air conditioning, which might not matter 90% of the time but the night we stayed was an extremely hot and humid night so it made a difference to us.
Staff were excellent and helpful
Room needed a re-vamp
simple clean functioning Hotel with all that you would want for an overnight stay
Being woken at 0530 with a drunken man standing at the end of my bed. Reception had given him the wrong key?
Although about 1.5 miles no problem walking from station on quiet paths. Well located for anyone travelling by car.
